Just for You...

Welcome to Berea Baptist Church!

 A word from our Pastor:

Thanks for taking the time to visit our web site!  We want to invite you to get to know us better.  We are proud to be serving our LORD Jesus in this community.

Berea has been ministering in the Big Spring area for over fifty years now.  We consider ourselves as a country church atmosphere with a ministry in the city as well.  We love the old fashioned hymns and are working to include more contemporary worship style as well.

I am a native of Big Spring having been born and raised right here.  I graduated from BSHS in 1967 and went to Howard College before marrying the girl next door in 1969.  We moved to Dallas to compete education at Dallas Baptist and Southwest Theological Seminary.  We have served in Dallas, Dalhart, Mesquite, Austin and now back in our home town of Big Spring.

My wife Cyndi and I have two grown children and six grandsons.  We love families and would love to minister and love on your family as well.  We believe strong families are the necessary ingredient to a strong and prosperous country.  We endeavor to provide ministry to every family member.  We seek to expound on biblical principles that speak to all walks of life.

Berea is known as a church where the people are "people of the book."  That simply means we study the scripture, not just for information and inspiration, but to apply it to real life - everyday.

We know you have many choices about where you will got o worship and serve our Lord.  We hope you will come visit us and let us have the opportunity to meet  you and yours.

We have a staff of six including youth minister, youth intern, children's minister, secretary and custodian.  We also have a wonderful team of servant leaders and lay ministers.

We make no apologies for believing in the authority of scripture over our lives and will always strive to speak the truth in love to all people.

If we may be of service please contact us.  You are encouraged to send your prayer request to us through this site.  We also invite you to call the church at 267-8438 or me personally at 935-9171.

Thanks and God Bless you as you look for God's will in a place to serve and grow in Christ.

Pastor John McCullough
